Beca Wellington Workplace Design and Fitout Refresh Aorangi House | Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington

  • Upgrade of commercial building foyer

  • Concept design for enhanced end of trip facilities for base building

  • Upgrade of commercial building core to provide better circulation, daylight and visibility across the floor plate

  • Workplace design and interiors

I led the transformation of Beca’s nine-storey, 4,500 m² office to create a more connected, flexible, and culturally responsive workplace for 300 staff. Working closely with the client and engaging with local Iwi and Mana Whenua, we integrated cultural storytelling into the design, with meeting spaces named to reflect the history of the whenua.

The project included a refresh of six open-plan office floors, improved circulation, daylighting, views, and workplace planning, alongside a fully refurbished entry foyer, reception, meeting floor, and staff floor. Staged construction allowed the building to remain fully operational throughout.
